Level of Study: MSc Nature conservation

Name and Surname: Locadia Dzingwena

She is studying the phenotypic variations of chacma baboons (Papio ursinus)  across multiple southern African biomes. She is interested in understanding whether diel activity patterns and reproductive phenology patterns of chacma baboons vary among different southern African biomes and identifying the drivers of this variation using camera traps data. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of this species' evolutionary and ecological responses to different environments, their potential future in the face of climate change and allow us to draw a new framework to conserve and manage wild populations in the face of future warmer climates.
